Observer CorpsThe League’s Observer Corps functions as the eyes and ears of the League, observing public meetings and reporting back to the League. League action might result from some of these observations. Evanston’s Observer Corps consists of 13 members, who observe the City Council, the Rules Committee and the standing committees (Administration and Public Works, Planning and Development, Human Services, the Economic Development Committee, and the Community Development Block Grant Committee) on which the aldermen serve, as well as the local school boards, District 65 and 202.
