Observer Corps

The League’s Observer Corps functions as the eyes and ears of the League, observing public meetings and reporting back to the League. League action might result from some of these observations. Evanston’s Observer Corps consists of 13 members, who observe the City Council, the Rules Committee and the standing committees (Administration and Public Works, Planning and Development, Human Services.) For Observer Reports not shown below, please click here.

If you are interested in being an observer for the League of Women Voters of Evanston please send email to Observers@lwve.org or call the League office at 847-866-7844.

On May 19, 2009, the Local Government Committee made a presentation at the 2009 Annual Meeting of the League of Women Voters of Evanston entitled "All You Ever Wanted to Know About Evanston City Government....But Didn't Know to Ask." A summary of their presentation is now available.
