EDUCATION FUND BENEFITMissed the event?

You can still donate to Education Fund online here.

The LWVE board shares the sorrow and anger over George Floyd’s murder and recent incidents that have laid bare, again, the prevalence of racist violence, injustice, and inequity in our country. With deepened resolve, we will continue to protect voting rights and encourage voter turnout, especially in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. We are committed to working together with our members and partners to promote justice and equity in Evanston/Skokie and beyond.
Fair Tax for Illiniois
The General Election is November 3, 2020.

Illinoisans will be asked to vote on a Constitutional Amendment to change our state income tax from a flat tax to a graduated rate tax.
Find About the
Fair Tax for Illinois, and
why the League of Women Voters thinks it’s a good idea.

Watch a recent episode of Inside the Skev, with League of Women Voters of Evanston members, Kathy Tate-Bradish and Michelle Jordan. They discuss the history of the League, its role in American Democracy and its interest in seeing the Fair Tax in Illinois passed in the November elections.
