WHO OWNS THE TRUTH?
Journalism in the Age of Distrust
Topic to be addressed by a panel of Chicago-area journalists dedicated to ensuring the public’s right to know.

| Natalie Moore, moderator– senior lecturer and director of audio journalism programming at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications.

| Adriana Cardona-Maguigad– WBEZ reporter focused on Latina/Latino issues and immigration

| Rummana Hussain– Chicago Sun-Times columnist/reporter

| Morgan Elise Johnson– publisher of The TRiiBE, a digital media platform reshaping the narrative of Black Chicago

For more than a century, the League of Women Voters has been showing up supporting:
| voters and voting rights
| responsive government advocacy
| transparency in government

Please support the LWV of Evanston and Skokie in our second century of showing up!
The Community Dinner is our ONLY major fundraiser. Please support this effort by registering and buying a ticket for the dinner and panel discussion. If you can’t attend, any donation amount can offset the cost of the event and/or enable us to invite a community member as a guest. ALL proceeds go to support our local programs. The LWV Evanston is is a 501(c)(3) organization as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service. All donations and tickets purchased are fully tax deductible (less the cost of the meal).

• Tickets– $250/guest
• Sponsor a table– $2,000/table for 8 guests

Select the total number of attendees you are registering today, then click the Register Now! button at the bottom of this page. Answer the questions about names, contact information, dinner preferences, and so on.

If you prefer, pay by check.
• Don’t enter any payment method when you reach that part of the process. You can just exit the system.
• Call or email the office to confirm your reservation and provide your name and a list of names for your guests at the table.
• Mail a check to the office.

Registration is required before Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM

Please read these IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION to help you pay online with a credit card:
• Select the total number of attendees you are registering today, then click the "Register Now!" button.
• When you've filled in all of the required names, email addresses and dinner choices–
Choose your Payment Method from the scroll-down menu "Select Payment Method" box: Click on "PayPal". Note: This is the only option that will enable you to pay with your credit card. You do not need to have or use a personal PayPal account. "PayPal Checkout" is LWVE's payment platform to receive credit card payments.
• Then click the yellow "PayPal Checkout" button in the center of this screen to pay with your credit card (or your personal PayPal account.) Choose the "Credit Card" option to pay with your credit card.

Note: Once you click the "Complete Registration" button, if you have not made your online payment, this event registration must be paid online by credit card WITHIN 30 MINUTES or it will be "canceled." Your registration will be confirmed immediately by email, but as stated in the confIrmation email, it will not be held unless prompt payment is received or you contact the office to hold your reservation. You must then mail a check as payment
